Dig out some fabric scraps to make a set of brightly colored cocktail napkins. Sew them up quickly, then pass them out at your next party. Save trees by throwing them in the washing machine instead of the landfill, using your one of a kind cocktail napkins over and over.

Materials for a Set of Four Cocktail Napkins:
Napkin fabric: (8) 6” x 6” squares of fabric
Seam allowance: 1/4”
1. Cut out eight squares.
2. For each napkin, put two squares together, right sides facing each
other. Sew around the four sides, pivoting at the corners. Leave a
small opening so that you can turn napkin right side out. Turn and
press.
3. Fold opening edges under and press.
4. Sew around the four edges, making sure to close opening.
You can use contrasting colored thread and/or zigzag stitch to
further embellish your creations.
Great to give as a gift. Roll each napkin and tie with ribbon and
decorate with a festive swizzle stick. |
